We actually own two S70’s – a 1998 and a 2000. Got my 1998 14 years ago with 60K miles on it, now at 258K and going strong. There isn’t a dot of rust on it, original muffler (with one patch). It has been through the mill of commuting through all conditions including snow, ice, sand and salt. It has hauled and towed all kinds of loads.

Not the end of the world, but it does leave your gas door hanging from the side of your Volvo, which doesn’t look too cool and is not good for the paint job!
