I bought a used 2005 Honda Pilot EX-L in excellent condition in Sept 07 and I have not been disappointed. I have never owned a Honda but am well aware of their reputation. The Honda vehicle definitely lives up to its name. I was recently in an pretty severe accident and the Honda did amazingly well considering the impact.

Is the Honda Pilot a good car to buy?
A couple of rattles in the dash and squeaks in the door seals that surprise me coming from a product from Honda. Overall, the Pilot has performed well. We’ve hauled 8 people, 25 bags of mulch, a couch and several other things. It’s spacious for sure and a good ride for all passengers. It’s solid. Does recommend this car!!

Why does my Honda Pilot take so long to start?
Since purchasing the vehicle at 100k miles, I’ve replaced the timing belt and spark plugs along with other normal maintenace items such as oil changes, new brakes, brake fluid change, transmission fluid change, differential fluid change, etc. I’ve been having a problem starting the vehicle and it’s been going on for about a year now.

The Pilot has been a great car overall. The only thing that I wish was better was the gas mileage. We have also owned two CRV’s and currently own a 2005 Accord, and all have been great. We have had no major issues even with our 2003 CRV with 197,000 miles that we just traded in on the Accord.

None for sale nearby. Instead: I bought this car with over a 100K on it and have had it for about a year. So far it has been fantastic! It has nice power and runs very well. A couple months ago I hit a big Ohio deer and I barely felt it. Me and my family were completely safe, which made me very happy I bought this SUV.
