I started noticing some excessive vibration of the chassis under acceleration about 4 days ago. The vibration or shuddering is most noticeable at highway/freeway speeds. I suspect that it’s there when driving around town but not as noticeable at slower speeds and/or starts and stops.

The problem persisted, though sporadically, and other mounts were fine. Searched the threads some more and thought it could be bad ignition coils/plugs or the passenger side drive axle. Looked at the axle and inner CV boot was damaged and a lot of grease had leaked out. There was play in the axle when yanked on by hand.

Drive axles are not cheap and if that is what it is, go with OE axles because many folks have had issues with the cheaper aftermarket axles. The good news is that the car drives nice and solid with new axles. Is it more noticible under acceleration? If you get on it a bit the wobble feel will get worse if the axle is worn.
