When I step on my brake pedal I hear air?
Cars can make many noises, and a hissing noise when braking can be among them. Why do I hear water under my dashboard?
D.M. Answer: Sloshing is almost always caused by air in the cooling system, which allows the coolant to drain out of the heater core inside the dashboard when the engine is off. When you start the car, the water pump sends a surge of coolant into the heater core and you hear the sloshing.
Why can I hear water bubbling in my car?
Bubbling indicates rising air pressure in the cooling system, which is a sign that the flow of liquid is blocked by a pocket of air. One of the most common causes is a blown head gasket, in which the air pressure inside the cylinder heads is transferred to the cooling system.

Why does my water heater make a whooshing noise?
Whooshing noise. The noise is water dropping through the air and splashing inside. This was most likely caused by either not refilling the system properly, which allowed the air to migrate from the engine to the heater core, or a leak somewhere that allowed the level to drop low enough to trap the air.
Why does my Chevy HHR make a sloshing sound?

Why is there so much water in my dash?
