Why is my Turbo 350 leaking?
Your leak, as mentioned, could be from the front trans seal sealing the t/conv snout, or a faulty O-ring about the oil pump and the ring has a scratch/divot as the pump was installed into the case. Oil leaked up inside the case and when the oil reached the O-ring seal defect, oil leaked out.
How do I know if my lower unit is neutral?
Depending on how your linkage is set up, with a pair of pliers or vice grips turn the shifting shaft that comes out of the lower unit and turn the driveshaft until you know the lower unit is neutral.
How big is the upper shift shaft rod?
The upper shift shaft rod in my terminology to be clear is were the lower shift shaft rod male end connects up and into the female end, and the rod is about 20 inches long up to the top and it connects to a bellcrank which is actuated by the push pull shifter cable. Looks like i have to remove it from the top which is blocked by the powerhouse?
Where is the shift rod on an Evinrude?
The Shift Link joins the lower unit gear shift rod to the upper engine part. This is the only tricky part that involved removing the lower unit. Can you remove a shift shaft from the bottom?
It is bent inside a round housing and i can’t remove it from the bottom after taking the lower unit off.
Why does my tcase shift handle keep falling off?
About a year ago I went to put it into 4wd and the shifter just had free play. So I go look under there and the rod is gone, the rod the connects the shift handle to the lever on the transfer case. I had to climb under the truck for 6 months to put it into 4wd because I could not find a replacement anywhere.
