SOURCE: the check engine lights and vtm-4 lights of my 2003 honda pilot alway stays on after i went for an automatic car wash. and after a day or two mostly if i ran it on the higheay check engine and vtm-4 l Apparently what has most likely happened is you were on a wet or ice road and may have lost traction on the road.

All’s good now!:29: Apparently the misfires will cause the VTM-4 light and as soon as the engine starts to correct itself the VTM-4 light went out and eventually check engine light too. Man it ran like shat for a couple days though!

Again, IMHO, if this is a common issue (appears to be), then HMA should be fixing these at own cost for a defect in the injectors. Because, eventually Honda7, you are going to hit these miles in the 40’s or 50’s etc, and might be back at dealer to fix another injector issue.
