Why does my heater only work when I rev the engine?
You may have a clogged heater core that may be prohibiting the outer linings of the heater core to get hot. As you know, the heater core is a series of tubes that the coolant runs through that generates the heat from the warm coolant after circulating through the motor.
Why is the heat in my truck only hot when I accelerate?
It’s caused when your coolant gets low. Fix your leak and bleed the coolant system. Or you can check this theory by filling and bleeding the coolant system now. If it works, it will be ok until the coolant system gets low and causes the air bubble again.
Is there no heat when the engine is at low rpm?
Re: No heat when engine is at low rpm or idle. Same problem with my 2005 Altima V6, with only 44k miles on it!!! and this is the second winter in the last 4 years that I have to pay for a coolant flush to fix the problem. This time the thermostat is getting replaced too. Time for a new car! You can’t post conmments that contain an email address.
Why does heat start blowing only at higher RPMs?
Heat starts blowing only at higher rpm’s, I have changed coolant, thermostat, coolant reservoir and cap as well as flushed heater core which had no rust in it. The car does not overheat at all. I did notice however that after cooling down I still have pressure in the coolant reservoir when opening the cap (it should not happen on the cold engine).
What’s the normal engine temp at 1500 rpm?
If I’m in the driveway, I can rev the engine up after its warm and get heat holding around 1500. And once in a while, driving down the city streets, it will blow warm, then quit. Pretty sure that is the 1500 rpm range when I’m getting it. But on the highway at around 2000 rpm, it’s ice cold.
Is there any heat in a Ford truck?
Click to expand… I basically have no heat, once the truck is at operating temp, I can get heat if I rev the engine up to around 1500 rpm, when driving I can do that as well, but no heat over about 1750 or below 1400. Highway is no heat, city driving around 35 mph there is heat except when I stop or speed up.
