Can a 2006 Mitsubishi Fuso FE 140 be braked?

Hello…I am working on a 2006 Mitsubishi fuso fe 140. I can not achieve a solid brake pedal after replacing master cylinder and abs module and motor. Any other suggestions I could try?

How to get a good pedal on a Fuso?

It takes longer and you use more fluid but sometimes the only way to get good pedal. Start at right rear open bleeder if no fluid drips out after 5 min then bleed by applying brake slowly all the way down then close bleeder do not pump until fluid will start dripping by itself. Let drip for 10-15min at a time.

What to do if your Fuso is not running?

Another way would be to use a hand held vacuum pump designed for brake bleeding, goes on zert fitting and pulls and collects fluid, about $30 at parts store. You may also try leaving key on engine not running in case they added a check valve in the abs module,I never had to do this, but trying to think of anything else that may work.

How is fluid flow in a Hydro Boost system controlled?

Fluid flow in and out of the hydro-boost is controlled by what is known as a spool valve. Spool valves are used in a variety of hydraulic components, such as the valve body of an automatic transmission. A spool valve is basically a hollow cylinder with a number of rings machined into it (see Figure 2).

What happens when you press down on the brake pedal?

Whenever you press down on the brake pedal, the compressed brake fluid is sent down the lines, generating force so that the brake calipers clamp on the brake rotors to stop the turning wheels. The brake fluid functions in a high temperature, high pressure environment.

Why does my Ford PowerStroke have a soft brake pedal?

It’s had a spongy brake pedal from day 1. Some info. 1. Rotors are in good shape. 2. New pads all the way around. 3. Double checked all hoses and pins/hardware. Hoses looks good. A few pins up front were frozen.

What does it mean when your front brake is not working?

Brake Pull: Uneven braking means that you have one front brake on your Chevy that is not operating properly. Your brakes pull to the good side. This can be due to oil, grease or fluid on a pad, a caliper that is stuck, brake line blockage, or wheel bearings that are loose.

What to do if your brake proportioning valve is stuck?

Depress the brake pedal and note if you have a brake light on the dashboard. If your brake system has not been previously worked on or suffered no brake leaks from the wheel cylinders, calipers or master cylinder, chances are the brake proportioning valve is stuck in one position, tripping the brake dash light.

Where to find the brake light warning switch?

Wiggle the brake light warning switch wire on the top of the proportioning valve, making sure it has a tight, clean connection. Locate the brake line on the valve that leads to the rear brakes, as well as the two single lines that lead to the left and right front brake calipers.

Is the brake pedal on my Santa Fe working?

I have a 2001 Santa Fe. I have had problems recently with the brake pedal. It usually happens when it is cold and on initial startup. The brake pedal only presses down slightly, therefore only working slightly, and can take MANY attempts to press down normally. I have had the brakes inspected and said to be fine.
