Anyway, I have a 2014 Jeep patriot 4×4 automatic transmission. not the CVT version. Roughly 78,000 miles. I have been experiencing some issues with my jeep and was going to see what everyone else though what could be the issue. My jeep will stutter or knock so to speak several times in sequence when I attempt to accelerate.
Why does my Jeep Patriot shift in auto mode?
I had this done to our early 2015 and it did result in smoother shifting but it was primarily for accidental drop into autostick mode. BTW you could see if this still happens when using autostick and shifting like it was a manual transmission. I’m gonna ask a Hyundai Dealer what their maintenance schedule is for that 6 speed auto.
What does check engine light on Jeep Patriot mean?
Check engine light is on and throws code saying transmission gears are out of sync and another code for transmission problems. This light came on after going to pull out of secondary road onto the main highway and not able to go anywhere. The whin was screeching at the time. No smells of anything burning so far.
