What causes tires to rub when turning?
Alignment issues are most associated with abnormal tire wear, but in extreme cases, an out of alignment vehicle could also create tire rubbing. For example, if caster angle is way out of spec, this can be a source of tire rubbing.
How do you know if your tires are rubbed?
Even if it’s just 10 MPH, that can be the difference in having a tire rub or not. Turning in reverse – when you put your truck into reverse gear, everything shifts slightly (not just the transmission). Backing out of a driveway, parking spot, etc. is one of the most common times that a tire will rub.
Is rubbing fender liner bad?

What happens when your wheels hit the fenders?
Mine also like that leh…only the front right (left is OK). Front about 4-5 fingers gap. Rear not sure but higher, but if loaded with passengers it’ll also “sink” downwards. Go thru uneven road or humps can hear (the front right) hitting the fenders.
