What happens when transmission locks up?
When your transmission goes out, your car’s handling will be affected. You may experience vibrations, slippage (engine revs but vehicle does not accelerate as it should) or different shift patterns in your vehicle. This may be caused by a bad fluid pump in the transmission, which can lead to total gear breakdown.
What does a locked transmission mean?

Torque converter lock up is one of those things that can be easily overlooked in the normal operation of any newer automatic transmission. When the converter is “locked” it is just like a direct drive manual clutch system allowing the stress to be taken off the fluid coupling and placed under full mechanical load.

Is there a way to unlock the gearbox?
There is also an option to unlock Gearbox Selector keyless. You need to remove the cover surrounding Gerbox selector. And then, you will see a yellow ( clearly marker leaver ), push it down and HOLD and move the gerbox selector to neutral (N) position.
