How do you remove a whole steering column?
Removal
- First make sure wheels are totally straight.
- Remove the lower bezel cover below the steering wheel.
- Remove the lower metal dash panel and the heater duct as well.
- Remove the 4 bolts (2 either side) that connect the steering brace to the dash metal undercarriage.
- The column will be looser now.
Is it hard to change a steering column?
Most of the time, servicing this part requires a dealer or skilled mechanic.
