Why does my RAV4 not have a fuel pump?

My fiancee has a 1998 RAV4 and was driving home the other day when it suddenly died. I towed it back to my house and have determined it is either the fuel pump or the fuel pump relay (I took fuel line loose and turn on key and no gas).

Where is the open circuit relay on a Toyota RAV4?

The open circuit relay is in the kick panel, drivers side. I thought you said it powered up but didn’t pump fuel? There are two boxes with fuses and relays under the hood. One above the fuel filter and one by the driver side headlight. The relay block by the kick panel is the another. Are all other lights and electrical switches working?

The main EFI relay for the 1998 RAV4 is on the back of the fuse block in the vehicle and have swapped out the relays I told you about, power and ACC (accessory). I have replaced the 20 amp fuse in relay/fuse box. I guess Ill replace the 2 relays and see what happens. So what happened? I am also curios what happened?

Make sure you check fuel pump fuse and wire connections at the fuel pump to make sure they are not dirty,the ground is important too. Get to them under carpet below the back seat. Look on the inside of the relay/fuse cover under the hood, there is a ‘map’, the EFI fuse is a 15amp, check that first, Thanks for the replys!!
