Do you need wheel spacers with a leveling kit?
You do not need the spacers to install the leveling kit. Wheel spacers are mainly about wider tires and rubbing when you turn them.
Can you add spacers to a leveling kit?
Yes, you can stack spacers on top of lift coils. Just watch out for coil bind. If you are adding bump stop extension to prevent coil bind, then just buy the right size coils.
Will a 2 inch leveling kit affect ride quality?
A: Under most circumstances, as long as you get proper installation a leveling kit will not affect your ride quality.
What are the cons of a leveling kit?
Con: Decrease in fuel economy A front-end leveling kit will equalize the suspension, resulting in increased wind resistance and decreased fuel economy. This is especially true when hauling a heavy load. The additional weight will pull the rear down and lift the front higher, causing an aerodynamic drag.
Is it bad to stack strut spacers?
The TF spacers are designed to be stacked and they provide a limited amount of lift. It is not “best practice” to stack spacers to 3″+, particularly from different manufacturers.
Can I stack lift kits?
What we can tell you is that stacking a leveling kit on top of a lift kit is not recommended by the lift kit manufacturers as you are modifying their product beyond its intended limits.
What size shocks do I need for a 2.5 leveling kit?
Most 2.5’s give around 3″ in front and 2″ in back. The typical shock used on a 2.5 is good for 1.5″ to 3″ lifts.
Does spacer lift affect ride quality?
Unlike leveling kits, spacer lift kits actually raise both sides of the vehicle as opposed to only raising the front side. Spacer lift kits are generally designed so that they do not interfere with the factory ride quality. This is unlike suspension lift kits, which do alter the suspension and ride.
