Is there a problem with the Honda Pilot collision mitigation system?
After cleaning the windshield and radar sensor (Honda emblem at front) and restarting the vehicle all was good. A dash cam shouldn’t effect it at all. I had a similar issue with a coating of bugs covering sensors after a late summer drive through the prairies.

When I got the collision mitigation failure I told the dealer I wanted it fixed. The tech found error codes and he worked several hours with Honda Tech Support. They had him connect a computer and take it for a test drive. Then he sent the data to Honda and they analyzed it and determined the brake switch was defective.

My dash lit up with every warning you can think of. TPMS, Brake Mitigation, Brake system, Check engine, Vehicle Stability Assist, Hill Start Assit Problem, and so on. We turned around after only making it a block and drove right back to the dealership.
How to turn off collision mitigation system ( CMBS )?
The audible alarm is a constant beeping sound; the visual alarm is an amber colored BRAKE message that flashes in the multi-information display. If these alarms come on, do whatever is necessary to avoid the collision (apply the brakes, change lanes, etc.). To turn the CMBS off, press the CMBS OFF switch on the dashboard for about 1 second.
