Not open for further replies. My 05 xb just had the VSC and TRAC OFF light come on at the same time on the center console, Manual says take the car to the dealer if this happens, but is ok to keep driving. Does anybody know what this means? Can I fix it myself?

Why does the code come back after changing the O2 sensor?

This results in better catalytic converter efficiency and that is why the code stops for a while. It will come back when the carbon builds up again. So that is why changing the O2 sensor works as a band aid for the problem but it will come back and the dealer loves that.
