Funny. My Vauxhall Astra CDTI 1.7 had exhaust indicator on and accelerating slowly in the fifth gear. I hammered EGR valve a little with a wooden hammer and the indicator went off. So, I guess it will be in need for replacement and/or cleaning but I was surprised that little hammering fixed the issue for now.
