What was the problem with the Honda Jazz?
The problem you refer to affected the very first Jazz models sold here up to 2008. Any car made after that date should not exhibit the same problem as Honda made running changes to fix it back in the day. The problem was actually traced back to the wrong transmission fluid being used in the CVT unit.

Im going back to Ultratune to get the transmission fluid to reflush for free as they offer. Might as well take the chances.. Do not get them to put any fluid in it. It MUST be Honda fluid for the CVT transmission. When I owned a Jazz there was a common issue of the CVT shuddering on take off.

The newer specification CVT gearbox oil is more pink/purple in colour, used from 2006/7 onwards. Just spoken to the service manager at local garage (where we purchased the jazz) and he admitted that there was a known problem with oil seals in the G/B which if it is that problem then the work is done under good will by Honda.
