What would cause a car to lose power while driving?

Is there a problem with my 1999 Subaru Legacy wagon?
I have a 1999 subaru wagon with 246K miles. ***The car has been a dream, and has not had any problems other than a bad oil pump and normal maintenance. ***About 6 months ago the car was experiencing a loss of power and wouldn’t accelerate when I pressed the gas. ***I thought it needed a tune up. ***After replacing spark plugs the problem persisted.

What to do if your Subaru has low power?
If the the air intake is not obstructed, the throttle plate/cable not loose or sticking, then look for spark plugs and ignition wires. If all that is sorted out, look for fuel pump issues, or sensor errors (although you did not mention a check engine light). Most likely you need to replace the plugs, and/or the ignition wires.
