Is there a fuse in the outlet it self?
Now here is a surprise for you… The outlet it self has a built in fuse between the 12v connection point in the back, and the contact inside at the bottom of the socket. Remove the center console and check the power socket connector for the voltage. If the voltage is there, correct or replace the power socket.
What to do when your power outlet stops working?
If the fuse is bad, replace it with one of the same amperage. Even if the fuse shows no signs of being blown (one such sign might be a black spot), you might want to try a different fuse of the same amperage to make sure. If the fuse is good, you have more work to do.
