Is the touch screen on my Subaru Crosstrek unresponsive?
The touchscreen in our 2018 Crosstrek has become unresponsive the controls on the steering wheel still control the radio and volume, but all the ‘buttons’ on the 6.5″ touchsreen have quit responding when touched. We cannot select any features that require use of the actual touchscreen.

Also, while listening to the radio, the button with a gear on it would continue to push itself, so it would stay on the same station, however, it would toggle to the detailed settings for the particular station. Annoying. I finally got fed up with the touchscreen, and showed it to my local dealership one morning.

Within the first 2 minutes of locking the car you must put your right thumb on the tip of your nose and spin around counterclockwise 4 times, and then put your left pinkie finger on the tip of your nose and spin around clockwise 3 times before unlocking the car and trying again. Hmmm I’ve got a the same problem with my 2015 Impreza.

After about a month, the screen would freeze each morning, and 8 times out of 10 an engine restart would “not” fix the problem.
