Funky, I did use Napa Dex III (on sale, $2.95 qt) and was able to get 7 quarts out (ran the car warm, changed trans filter – used Subaru trans filter). Running much smoother. Still do the every other oil change transmission fluid change?

We’re running Redline synthetic ATF in both our Foresters, but most members get the best results from using Subaru specific ATF. With the amount of miles you have, I wouldn’t recommend a flush, just do a drain & refill cycle until you think all the old ATF has been replaced.
