What was the problem with my Saturn Vue?
I took my 2008 Saturn Vue to the dealer to have the brakes checked on Saturday and they told me it was the brake switch ($300). That did not fix the problem. By the time I got about 2 blocks away, my brakes locked up again…really hard this time. I turned right around, took it back, and left it with them .

I have a 2006 Vue AWD V6 with a twist on the abs problem throughout this forum. The abs pump kicks in between 5 – 0 mph when gently braking. Just before coming to a complete stop the pedal goes down to almost the floor. There are no abs or brake warning lights at anytime. There are no error code messages displayed either.
Is there a problem with my Saturn Vue ABS?
I am also have the same problem with my 2008 Vue… the ABS and Tractor lights start coming on I have about 68,000 miles. I took it a Chevy dealer he put it on a machine and found no errors charged me $88 said keep driving it. I ask if it was safe he said yes but I may have a problem when it rains.
Why does my Saturn Vue make a humming noise?
Lastly everytime I put in reverse or when I lightly put pressure on the brakes when driving I get this noise like a humming (errrrrrr) noise. Its not the grinding/squealing noise you would get when brake pads needs replaced.
Why does my Saturn Vue have a burning oil smell?
Second, everytime I brake suddenly, a cloud of smoke comes from the front end and there is a burning oil smell. The oil is fine and no leaks. Again mechanic says it could be a cracked CV boot throwing grease?
Is there an extended warranty on a Saturn Vue?
Thank God that ordeal is over….I suggest that if you can to purchase an extended warranty. Anyway they found 3 codes (the codes errors were C0460, C0045 and P0346). They calibrated the streering position sensor and cleared all the codes.

While my problem may not be indicative of all abs vue troubles, double check all abs circuit connectors, while they may appear solid, oxidation and corrosion are evident.

Thecardoc3 along with all Saturn vue owners. While my problem may not be indicative of all abs vue troubles, double check all abs circuit connectors, while they may appear solid, oxidation and corrosion are evident. Open the connector and apply di-electric grease to the terminals.
