The Vue is cranking up and you can drive it but the Security light is flashing,as well as the interior lights. As weird as this sounds, this is going on. VUE won’t start; mine wouldn’t either. New battery didn’t help. Had a new starter installed at the Saturn dealer a cost of $499! $407 for the new starter that I found on line for less than $150. Also charged me almost $200 labor to install a front wheel hub/bearing assembly–four bolts off and four bolts back on!

I recently heard that the Saturn Vue had a honda transmission and engine, and after some trawling on the internet, I read on Wikipedia that some 04-07 Vues came equipped with a 3.5 liter J35A3 honda engine and a five speed honda transmission.
Is the Saturn Vue like the Saturn Ion?
Just like the Saturn ION, bad reputation because some don’t like the center gauge pod, yep that makes or breaks it. Yea the ion is a great car but the center gauge just ruins it and makes alot of people hate it , including me.
How old was the Saturn Vue when it was made?
The car was tossed easily by the wind (song “Dust in the Wind” by Kansas comes to mind), NVH levels were off the chart, and the interior squeaked as if it was made 100 years ago. Ironically, the Vue was less than a year old (from production), and even younger than that on the road.
