• For the nearside shaft – Remove the three set screws (13mm) holding the drive shaft onto the gearbox – be very careful as the shaft will be very loose. • For the offside shaft – Just pull the drive shaft out of the gearbox splined socket. • The whole shaft assembly can now be lift clear.

• You don’t have to remove the brake disc but it may prevent it being damaged later on. With the T40 torx bit remove the two small screws holding the brake disc onto the hub and remove the disk – may require small taps all the way round with a soft headed hammer.
