What kind of clutch pedal does Megane have?
I’ve had a heavy clutch pedal ever since I bought my Megane back in December. Its a 1.5dci with 147,000 on the clock, so its certainly had its wear and tear! The biting point is fine, a little high but it doesn’t slip at all.
Why does my Megane 1.5dci clutch not work?
If I try to pull the pedal up using my foot underneath it, the pedal will come up with quite a bit resistance but then falls back to it’s ‘new’ resting position. Driving along in 2nd gear (in traffic), if I accelerate slightly, the take up isn’t as smooth as it use to be.
Why does my Megane clutch slip in 3rd gear?
Joining a dual carriageway, I changed up to 3rd gear and sped up a bit. At about 2,500 – 3,000rpm, there was some clutch slip. I tried this a few more times, and each time was the same, however, I don’t think it would do it (or at least be noticeable) in 1st or 2nd gear.
Is the DMF out on a Renault Megane?
Garage C – an independent garage, took the car for a short test drive and thinks the clutch is warped. He doesn’t feel the DMF needs doing, but said he would know more when the clutch is out. He’s also quoted 2 prices – one without the DMF and one with.
