Is the parking brake on my grand scenic working?
If the parking brake works and the message dissapears when engaging clutch. IT IS NOT THE PARKING BRAKE that has the fault. I have similar car – Grand Scenic 2007 1,5 with the same issue which I fixed today.

Customerreply replied 8 years ago My Renault Grand Scenic 2006 1.6 ltr car had its front brake pads, drive shaft gator and track rod end all replaced yesterday as a requirement to pass the mot. The “Check Parking Brake” warning light came on after the work was done and the car had passed the mot.

Hi, my 54plate Renault Grand Scenic with electronic parking brake has come back from it’s MOT with a message on the dash that says “check parking brake”. The park brake is working fine and has never give any trouble and it has recently been into Renault for a safety recall that involved reprogramming the parking brake.

IT IS NOT THE PARKING BRAKE that has the fault. I have similar car – Grand Scenic 2007 1,5 with the same issue which I fixed today. On my car it was kinda funny, because I’ve been checking my reversing light switch on the gearbox and I saw that the wiring was no longer connected to it.
