What are the EFI alarms on a Mercury 150?
Afternoon everyone/anyone!! I have a Mercury 150 Efi (2 stroke) and on the last trip off Onslow, I had 2 alarms going off. The first was 4 beeps every few minutes. The second was a constant beep and the only way to get it off was to turn the engine off and restart. The boat would cavitate at about 3100 rpm and then the alarm would start.
Why is my mercury 150 hp outboard alarm going off?
The main oil reservoir is 3/4 full and the small resevoir on the front top of motor is full. Cranks and runs great. Water is “peeing” out of the pee hole after about 30 seconds of running then high pitch alarm sound coming from shifter area sounds. I just shut her down.
