Where does the oil come from on a Porsche 911?
The purpose of these tubes is to return oil flow back to the sump at the bottom of the 911 motor. No oil flows through them at very high pressure. They simply collect the oil that flows back from the heads. The principle point of failure are the two seals on each end.
