Why is my intake air temp high?
A stored code P0127 means that the powertrain control module (PCM) has detected an input signal from the intake air temperature (IAT) sensor circuit which is indicative of the temperature or circuit voltage being too high.
What should the inlet temperature of air be?
Air inlet temperatures are usually in the range of 60–80°C. Air velocity is a few m.s−1 and must be adjusted according to the size, shape and density of the food particles so as to avoid entrainment of dry particles with the wind. (v) Inlet air temperature.
How does the inlet temperature affect the NO x?
For diffusion flame combustion the effect of the air inlet temperature is to increase the temperature of the local stoichiometric zones, and hence to increase NO x. The classic work of Lipfert (1972) is shown in Fig. 16.41, where NO x appears to increase with inlet temperature.
Why is my intake air temperature sensor high?
Intake air temperature sensor 1 experienced an internal problem; Bad connection between the IAT sensor 1 and its circuit due to problems like dirt, rust, and looseness; Damaged IAT circuit wiring ; Problem with the mass air flow sensor (if the IAT is integrated into the mass air flow sensor)
What causes a high input code on an IAT sensor?
See the IAT in depth article (P0112) for more background on the IAT sensor. Note: Circuit High Input codes are mostly caused by defective alternators that develop excessive voltages, although there may be other causes as well, such as short circuits that “leak” current into a particular system from other,…

How does the intake air temperature ( IAT ) sensor work?
The Intake Air Temperature (IAT) sensor is built into Mass Air Flow ( MAF) sensor. The sensor detects intake air temperature and transmits a signal to the Powertrain Control Module ( PCM ). The temperature sensing unit uses a thermistor which is sensitive to the change in temperature.
What does the intake air temperature code mean?
The Intake Air Temperature signal is used as an input for various systems in the vehicle. It is used by the Powertrain Control Module to assist with the calculation of idle speed, fuel mixture, and spark advance. The Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) will set when the PCM detects an excessively high voltage from the sensor.
