Car / Lock Icon on Dashboard. Truck doesn’t start up when Blinking I have a big problem. I have an 03 Yukon and when I get in the car, SOMETIMES this Car / lock icon comes up and then goes away and the car starts fine. The problem comes when the icon stays blinking while the key is in the ignition.

Try this: Turn key to ON. Disconnect negative battery cable for about one minute. Take key out, lock doors and close them. Reconnect cable. Start truck. BTW, you will lose any radio presets with this. I have the same error on my dashboard …work truck.
