What kind of clutch does a Peugeot 307 have?
Just had a freind of mine ask me to do the job, he has a 307 CC 2.0ltr petrol, 06 plate with approx 50k on the clock. He says there is a whining noise coming from the clutch release bearing, how accurate this diagnosis is I don’t know, as I haven’t seen the car yet, but he’s normally right.
Can you change the clutch on a pug 307?
I’m after some advice from anyone in the know please. Has anyone on here ever changed the clutch on a Pug 307?? Just had a freind of mine ask me to do the job, he has a 307 CC 2.0ltr petrol, 06 plate with approx 50k on the clock.
What does the fly wheel on a Peugeot 307 do?
The fly wheel is basily 2 plates (instead of the traditional 1 solid plate) held together by a sort of ‘suspension’ spring (s), I’ve also heard of viscous coupled ones, uses hydraulic fluid instead of springs. Main purpose it to dampen out vibration caused by a diesel engine so they cannot be felt through the transmission and suspension.
Can you change the clutch on a 5 speed car?
If it’s a 5 speed box then it should be very similar to the one I changed,if it’s 6 speed then it might slightly more difficult. You definately don’t have to remove the complete engine/gearbox assembly to change the clutch on any of them, although you may have to remove the front subframe on certain engine sizes/gearbox types.
