Where is the reostat on a Peugeot 206?
Our car has digital aircon, so no separate reostat. Following various suggestions, I checked both fuses in the car and the one in the engine bay (these are 40amps), and the grounding for the earth, which is situated on the passenger side sill. Fan skeaked when on a low speed, so I gathered that it needed changing anyway.

HelloA friend of mine is getting an “Engine immobiliser fault” message on the dashboard of her Peugeot 206 (05 plate). This is happening several times on first starting the car but also when driving. The Peugeot dealer and the seller (garage) cannot find a fault when they used a diagnostic tool.

There is a transponder on the 206 you have – it is attached to the ign barrel under the plastic surround… This is a common fault and would be the usual thing to replace in such circumstances – especially when the problem is intermittent ..and have the system re set / reprogrammed..
