When to leave the antipollution light on or off?
When I leave it off for several minutes the light remains off for several more and then comes back on. When idle runs 400-500 RPM less than usual, usual being ~1200 and at the moment runs at ~800 and the entire car is shaking almost at the brink of switching off but doesn’t just shakes.

Anti pollution is basically citroens way of saying emissions system so it could be as simple as a loose emissions pipe but from what you say and the car does not run it could be your catalytic converter (part of the exhaust system) has failed causing the engine management system to cut in and protect the engine.

What causes the anti pollution fault on a 207CC?
The Anti Pollution Fault is a fault that can appear on the information display in the instrument cluster. The reason why this fault occurs differs from model to model. In the 207 (and the 207cc) this fault is often caused by the ECU or the head gasket.
What should I do if my antipollution coil is not working?
You could try and clean the coil very well with some carb cleaner. This would get most all of the oil out of the coil and it may start working correctly again. If that doesn’t do it, you next step is to replace the coil. You probably won’t be able to salvage your current coil pack, but it is worth a try.
