The simple, mechanical pump delivers oil to the engine based on its RPM and throttle position. Mikuni oil pumps contain a gear-driven cylinder that has a hole drilled through its diameter. The cylinder constantly rotates, which aligns the hole with the discharge passages once every 180 degrees.

Is it OK to take oil injection off premix?
There’s only really 3 spot where it could be leaking and if they are, when you take the plate off of the housing, you should have oil everywhere like I did. If it’s oil from the motor, there’s a little o-ring that seals the pump’s shaft. The pumps are adjustable also!
What causes oil injection on Polaris premix ATV?
It would leak something fierce and found the bleed screw was missing and also the o-ring was bad. #2 issue was a bad seal behind the stator. That too would leak and slowly fill up the recoil area with oil if it didn’t leak out on to the floor.
