Front-wheel drive is still standard, but a new all-wheel drive system is available. It’s a new direct coupling design, so it doesn’t need to sense front wheel slip to begin sending torque rearward. How many mpg does a pathfinder surveyor get?
Our Surveyor is 4100 lbs. unloaded and proably pushing 5000 lbs. loaded ( we seem to empty the house into the trailer since it has so much room compared to our last TT, a Casita – a great trailer but too small for us!). The Pathfinder does not like this much but if you keep your speed to about 60 mph you can still get almost 12 mpg.
