How does the OBD II fuel management system work?
All OBD II equipped vehicles use an oxygen sensor to measure how much oxygen is present in the exhaust. The sensor tells the engine management computer (PCM) if the fuel mixture is burning rich (less oxygen) or lean (more oxygen).
