Why is the tailgate on my Nissan Note not opening?
There was no sound of the remote lock working and the tailgate switch was completely dead. Fearing a massive bill from the dealer I searched around and found this thread. Managed to open the gate from the inside and then removed the rubber jacket and checked the wiring loom on the top RH side of the opening.

How is the rear door of a Nissan Note hatch unlocked?
The hatch rear door is unlocked by pressing a switch near the car rear number plate.The door is then released by an electric solenoid. At present I am not able to open the door. I do not have a electrical circuit diagram for the car, and was hoping you could supply one, so I could carry out the testing of the circuit.
