Why does the brake light come on at the same time?
When the battery and brake light come on at the same time it means the alternator is not charging. The funny noise is probably the alternator. If the lights are off, then the charging system would appear normal. This needs to be tested under load.

Why did my brake light and Battery Light Come On?
Well like the title says both those lights came on while I was driving then a metal like scaping sound was coming from the engine bay. But after hitting a bump the sound stopped and the lights went out. I had the alternator checked and it read 14 volts and stayed about there when I turned on all my accessories.
