When did the Nissan Altima battery go dead?
Vehicle was stationary. Original battery went dead in 2012, additional batteries installed in 2013, 2014, 2015 by the dealer and towed to the dealer. Aaa installed batteries in 2016 and may of 2018. , I did not go back to the dealer.

Key fob actually popped trunk so she could climb in to pop hood buy manual keys (both) would not work. 36 people found this helpful. Had same problem with my daughters 2012 Murano. Fob would not unlock it. Only one key hole on drivers side. Key would not unlock it either.
Can you open the hood of a Nissan Altima?
Not likely the key would fail in both locks but I suppose it could be damaged somehow. You may be able to open the hood from the underside by either compressing the latch with a long screwdriver or loosening the mounting bolts/nuts and letting the latch come loose. 40 people found this helpful.
