Why does a BMW blow warm air on the passenger side?
Speaking of blowing warm on one side, BMWs seem to default to warm on the passenger’s side. Not sure if it’s designed that way to keep the driver cool at the expense of the other cabin occupants, but there you go. There’s a YouTube video on this.

WOW! part numbers 80321-shj-a02 and 80341-shj-a01. The “low freon” speculation…needs to be investigated. I suspect the cold air coming out of the passenger side is plenty cold, which would not be possible with a freon leak. Before bringing it into the shop, check out the driver’s side air mix motor.

What’s the problem with the left side blowing hot air?
Unit that tells the computer the current temp of the air in the car. The m can blow 90 on one side while 60 on another at least on a 2011 m. The g can’t seperate the 2 sides like the m can. Re: Climate control problem. Left side blows hot air right/c
Why does the left side of my car blow cold air?
Switching through the different settings (floor, bi-level, upper vent on/off etc..) yields the same result; much cooler air on the passenger side. If I set the temp to 60 it blows cold air and both sides feel the same, I didn’t check the actual temp of each vent though.
