Why is the tailgate switch on my Micra K12 not working?
My recent experience shows that anyone suffering from a faulty tailgate switch on their Micra K12 series – possibly caused by ingress of water causing shorting of the microswitch – would be well advised to refer to Ewan Donaldon’s site (address per answers below).
Is the Nissan Micra K12 a good car?
My 2003 K12 has done about 30,000 – red light was flashing for about a year before it finally went on permanently and the steering went. Am driving it at moment as cannot afford the repairs – it’s fine as long as you don’t go down a narrow car lined cul-de-sac!
What kind of fault does my dad’s K12 have?
My dad’s ’04 K12 has this fault. Codes were reset using Nissan Consul II device but problem came back in about a week. (Fault that came up was : PS Control Unit fault and PS motor fault). Mechanic (Nissan one), removed unit. This unit includes the Power steering motor plus the Control unit.
Is the Micra 03 plate a K12 model?
HI I HAVE A NISSAN MICRA 03 PLATE A K12 MODEL I BELIEVE. THE PROBLEM IT HAS IS IT TURNS OVER BUT DOES NOT START. IT WILL FIRE ONCE AND NO MORE. IF YOU TAKE THE PLUGS OUT YOU CAN CRANK IT AND SEE THE SPARK PLUGS SPARK ONCE THEN STOP.
Why is my Nissan Micra K12 not starting?
Surely if the fault is found within an hour there’s no need for them to charge us 2 hours diagnostic. What’s your opinion on this? Also spoke with another independent comnpany and they’ve said it could be “ignition barrell”.
