When did I Buy my 2002 Nissan Xterra?
We bought our 2002 Xterra SE (4×4) new in 2002. So far we have logged 150k on it and outside of normal maintenance, the only thing we have had to replace was a O2 sensor. This little rig has been an absolute joy to own/drive. To say it was “Over Built” is absolutely correct.
Is the Nissan Xterra a good car to buy?
But once that was ready to be done, cars that came after didnt satisfy the way my Xterra does. It’s a great vehicle for towing utility trailers, hauling weight, driving to and from errands, camping, water sports, and it’s rugged w/out looking hillbilly. It’d be great if it got better city mileage with gas. Does recommend this car!!

Which is bigger Nissan Pathfinder or Nissan Xterra?
The Xterra is being marketed as a bare-bones mini-SUV to avoid treading on the toes of its bigger and more upscale brother, the Pathfinder. How well it succeeds at this task is questionable. The Xterra is nearly as long as the Pathfinder and offers an inch more legroom for rear passengers.
When did I Buy my Nissan Xterra car?
We bought the Xterra in 2002 and it’s STILL going strong. This car has made 2 cross country trips and multiple trips from VA to FL. We have had some work done, but nothing major or extremely expensive, which in the course of 16 years is outstanding. It’s going to be heartbreaking when I do finally have to replace it. Does recommend this car!!
What kind of engine does Nissan Xterra have?
The 3.3 liter V6 is adequate, not fast, but you don’t get an SUV for speed. Valve gaskets had to be replaced at 154K. Only complaints; no dashboard clock and dashboard instruments are very dark.
