What makes a Nissan 3.0L engine not start?
Without spark, the engine will crank but no start. The ignition system of the Nissan vehicles covered by this article use either distributor type system or a COP (Coil-On-Plug) ignition coil system. In a COP ignition coil system, each cylinder has its own ignition coil; thus eliminating the distributor entirely.
What causes a Nissan Frontier ipdm to fail?
Errant sensors, fuel pressure, faulty relays.. The IPDM is a relay/junction buss, it is used by the ecm to control vehicle systems. The IPDM relays can be intermittent.Mine was, took 3 months for it to fail outright from the first time it acted up.
What causes a Nissan Frontier to not start?
On a cold day, with thicker than usual fuel, causes inadequate fuel pressure on the fuel rails and therefore injectors. Causes the motor to crank over and over but not start. Fix: Let your key rest on the ON section for a few seconds. Works for me everytime. How is the hot restart? Does the idle stay stable, or rough?

What to do when your Nissan Frontier wont start?
The ecm controls injector pulse, and spark. Easy way to sorta tell where the problem might be is to pull a coil stick, place an extra sparkplug (any kind) in the boot, ground the threads to the block, and have someone to crank it over while you stand back and watch. Should see violent blue spark jumping about.
Where is the traction control on a Nissan Pathfinder?
You have to turn off the traction control. It’s a button on the left side of the steer wheel (where the liftgate button is located on the dash). Once you turn that off you will see a warning light on your dash telling you its off then you can spin tires all day long without the truck killing the power.
Why does my Nissan Pathfinder have a shudder?
I have made a couple of posts here about my new 2013 Pathfinder having the shudder issue, and that twice it lost power while trying to accelerate – once going up a parking garage incline, the second time while turning right from a stop onto a busy freeway service road.

Why does my Nissan Pathfinder not go while driving?
Just put my 2013 Pathfinder SL on a tow truck because the transmission failed. Fluid was all over and caused a bunch of smoke. By the time I could pull over, the vehicle would not go while in drive. 2 months/2400 miles and $40,000 later, I have no vehicle and a whole lot of anger.
When did my Nissan Pathfinder SV lose power?
They gave me another 2013 Pathfinder SV as a loaner. I had not noticed any problems until yesterday, after a full week of driving it. As I turned out from my parking lot at work, onto a busy 3 lane road, as soon as I got out onto the road, the truck lost power. Once again, I was sitting in the middle of the road with no power.
