Why is the trunk button not working on my Nissan Pathfinder?
Now, it only unlocks the trunk but does not open it… It has to be done manually. When I use the remote or the button inside the car below the steering wheel, all works the way it should. I am due for service in the next couple of weeks, so if I don’t find the solution, I will ask service guys to fix it.

The genius key won’t even open the gate. So there is a bank of buttons on the dash by the drivers left knee. One of those buttons is Power Door On/Off. With the button set to the off position the rear door behaves exactly as you have described. Set it to on and it will go back to “normal” behavior.

Why is the Hatch button on my Nissan not working?
When I press the button ON the hatch to OPEN the hatch, it UNLOCKS the hatch and pops open, but does not open all the way, like it does when I press the hatch button on my remote, which is used to do. Sounds goofy, I would get it to the dealer for a good ole warranty repair!

Took the Pathfinder to the dealership for a quick service and to have Doug (great service technician) look at the liftgate. He showed me an easy fix that works “most” of the time. 1) Turn the power-lift gate Off (by the steering column). 2) Manually open and then manually close the liftgate. 3) Manually open the liftgate again.
