Does vent direction matter?
The return air vent openings need to be on the opposite side of the room so the conditioned air is pulled across the room. If the supply ducts are in the floor, then the return air should be located up high. A downward direction is preferred more, as air always rises up after collecting heat from below.
Why is the air only blowing through the front vents?
The air only blows through the front defrost vents, the back air works fine. What could that be? have the same problem? Check for a vacuum leak see picture and look at the vacuum motors see if they are getting vacuum when put on defrost/floor etc..
Why are the vents not working on my Acadia?
Front dash HVAC vents not working (and, what is this wire?) There’s no/little air coming from the front dash vents on my wife’s 2011 Acadia regardless of how the system is set. After doing some research, I’ve tried resetting the HVAC system by temporarily pulling the fuse.
Why are the vents on the front of my car not working?
It tends to get choked over time, especially given that it pulls all the air from the front/engine compartment. You will see a lot of cooling but no air. Or it could be the 2 vents are blocked due to some debris clogging the passage to these 2 vents.

The air conditioner blows cold air but switches from front vent 2 floor 2 defrost vent simultaneously. None stay on very long they just keep switching back and forth. Do I need to get AC checked or what?
Why is the a / C not coming from the front vents?
The next day I Took to the shop asking them to check vaccum first, and that didnt seem to be the issue, after tests and inspection they tell me its either the in AC panel cluster itself ( part with the buttons on it. Which seems to be working fine, I see no problems, but idk) or it could be the A/C Control Computer.
Where does the AC blow out in the front?
AC does not blow out from vents in the front. My front air does not blow out (it works in the back). I changed the blower relay in the fuse box next to the battery and put in a new blower fan under the glove box but it still does not blow air out in the front.
Why does AC stop blowing out the defrost vents?
After installing a new blower fan motor the ac would only come out the defrost vents. The factory vacuum check valve is very hard to get to. So i bypassed it. Now it is working like it should and ac comes out the dash vents. I do not have a vacuum reservoir installed i will have to see if i will need to add it later.
