When do I update the map on my sd card?
I have a 2013 Nissan Altima with Navigation. I currently have the 2015 maps installed in my car. I just purchased the 2018 map update. When I insert the new SD card, the card is recognized as a Nissan Card but I am not prompted to perform the update. Has any of you experienced this issue?
Can a SD Nav update card be used?
SD nav update cards are 1 time use only and are specific to a particular system. I purchased the card from Nissan. There are no error messages / red lettering on the screen. I purchased Nissan Navigation System Map Version 9.0 | 2018 LCN2. Tech support verified it is the correct card for my car.
Why does my Nissan SD card not update?
There was some tip/trick that someone had posted to get it to detect but I can’t remember. It is crazy as the car detects a Nissan card is inserted, it just does not detect that it is an updated card so it does not perform the firmware update to the maps.

What’s the version of the 2015 SD card?
When I put the original 2015 map SD card in the map data version is: sd2-GENI_NA_C.A v4. When I put in the new card the map data version is: sd2-GENI_NA_F.A v1. So there is a difference but I am not sure if that is an indication the update is complete or not.

Where can I get a replacement SD card?
The card came from Nissan Navigation (Here). This is the replacement card and both cards have the same behavior. Tech support at Here double checked and it is the right version. I have spent hours trying all their tips to no avail.
