Is the hatchback on my Nissan Versa locked?

Why does my 2012 Nissan Versa not start?
So my gf has the same problem, 2012 versa hatchback. The car wont start usually in the am coz of the cold, and we found out a way, we usually put pressure on the computer module in the hood, and then coila the engine turns on. Been working for 1 year, and now all of a sudden, we could tell that ut was getting worst.
Why do I have to push the brake to start my Nissan Versa?
If you don’t need to push the brake to start the car…well you would have to keep looking for a solution. The brake light switch function is to send a signal to the main computer and the starter motor so they “know” is safe to start the car (beacuse you are pushing the brake).

I have a Versa 2009 SL HB and the trunk doesn’t open with the keyless entry or using the button latch. Going to try and fix. Can post images and guide but first wanted to get feedback from you guys.

I can confirm that the front passenger door lock actuator is the culprit of the hatch not opening. The repair is not difficult at all. Took me half an hour. However, the hatch will only open if the passenger door is open for some reason. It is not tied into the latch.

What’s the actuator number on a Nissan Versa?
I ordered that actuator from NissanPartsZone.com, and everything worked again once I replaced it. The part is 80-500-EL01B. It took me about an hour and a half to do. You’ll need to use the service manual, which can be found at this link. The information you’ll need to help you replace the actuator starts on BL-166.
