Why is my Armada shaking?
Any unusual shaking or vibrating forces coming from the engine is cause for concern. It could be something as simple as old spark plugs producing an uneven power delivery, it could be something serious like worn or broken engine mounts, or it could be even more serious in the case of internal engine damage.
What does low idle mean on a Nissan?
1. Stuttering/low idle/near stall/stall when stopped in gear 2. Upon warm restart, engine idle would drop below 500 rpm and almost stall, 3. When cold, at light throttle input, a stumble/stutter around 1,700 rpm that almost felt like a transmission slip. 4. When cold and in 5th gear but low speed of around 40 mph, the car actually bucked.

Upon inspection the automatic tensioner is vibrating and moving quite a bit. Going to replace that today or tomorrow. Also, the crank pulley appears to be off by about 1mm. Any idea which way it’s threaded…clockwise or counter-clockwise? On a side note, the engine shifts forward or backward when placed into Drive and Reverse.

What to do about idle stutter on Nissan Leaf?
1. Clean the throttle bodies with throttle body cleaner. Used the method of disconnecting the negative battery terminal and removing them but leaving the electrical connection intact. They were, as expected, filthy. 2. Vacuumed out the air intake boxes.
