If you’ve got a 2001+ QX4 a major possibility is the switch. If it’s what happened to me it will get worse and eventually start happening to the other side. Re: Headlight works on high beam, but not on low? (Sizemore) I just had this problem recently with my driver-side low beam.

Oh, and all other lights in the driver side housing (parking, turn illuminator, etc) are still working properly. The high beam headlight does not work…however as stated previously, all other lights in that housing are working. That’s ok,it helps narrow it down. this is a possible fuse issue since neither light works.

My driver side headlight wire got loose so when i hit a bump at night if would flicker. So i decided to fix this at night and while i had the lights on, the wires hit a metal and made a small spark. After i reconnected the light it still wouldn’t turn on. I will check out the fuse tomorrow to see if thats the problem.

They tried putting in the new bulb but had the same conclusion, its not working.. the fuse is ok. the wiring must be messed up. I am gonna go back to the guy who repaired my headlight after my recent accident. maybe he wired it too close to hot components or something and the wire has melted and shorted or something.
